First, let′s introduce the oil-immersed distribution transformer. The oil-immersed transformer uses oil as the main insulation method of the transformer and relies on oil as the cooling medium. Since the silicon steel sheets of the oil- immersed transformer are immersed in transformer oil for a long time, the oil can penetrate into them, and the transformer oil has elasticity and acts as a buffer, so the oil-immersed transformer has low noise.

They meet the energy efficiency standards of oil-immersed transformers at level 2 and level 1, and their capacities range from 30kVA to 2500kVA. Compared with S13 and S11 series transformers, their no-load and load losses and temperature rise values are significantly reduced.

Dry-type transformer refers to a transformer whose core and coil are not immersed in insulating liquid.
